Whether I was teaching in a classroom or marketing for a restaurant creating and designing always played a significant role. As a visual person myself, I saw the importance of designs, graphics, and visual aids to either teach or influence guests. I was a “self-taught” designer, learning various Adobe programs through trial and error, YouTube videos, LinkedIn Learning, and Adobe’s Classroom in a Book series. Only after an exhausting few years in the restaurant industry during a global pandemic did I realize I was finally ready for a career change. With the online program at SNHU, I would officially be official and able to refine my skills and fill in the gaps from my own “curriculum.”
