Ankley Family Farm

Sunflower raindrops

This past Sunday I took a trip to a local family farm that I had found on social media to check out the flowers and location for an upcoming senior photo session.

It was a rainy day so the farm was basically empty which allowed me to wander around without feeling like I was in anyone’s way. Even with the grey skies I was in awe of the gorgeous rows and rows of colorful flowers and giant sunflowers. I was also impressed that the farm had chairs and props throughout the flower fields specifically for photo opportunities.

It has been a long time since I just shot for fun, and even longer since I was able to play with Lightroom looks. I had one of the best afternoons despite the rain and was even able to work on capturing reflections in raindrops.

If you live in the SE Michigan area I highly recommend checking out the farm: https://www.ankleyfamilyfarm.com
